Terumi “Teri” Nakahara, 77, of Hilo died Aug. 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a data entry operator for KTA Super Stores and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission and Hauoli Kumiai. Services held. No flowers or koden. Survived by daughter, Glynis (Van Okamura) Nakahara of San Francisco; brothers, Edward (Helen) Oshiba of Harbor City, Calif., Masaaki Oshiba and Yoshito Oshiba of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Alice Oshiba of Riverside, Calif., and Fumie Sayegusa of Torrance, Calif.; brothers-in-law, Sueo Nakahara of Laurel, Md., Shigeru Nakahara of Westminster, Calif., Jitsuo (Pat) Nakahara of Bothell, Wash., and Koae Fuse of Kurtistown; 2 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Matilde Medrano Corpuz, 70, of Kona, died Aug. 28 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in the Philippines, she was retired as a food handler for McDonald’s in Kona. Funeral services Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kailua-Kona, 75-230 Kalani St. Visitation at 8 a.m. Services at 9 a.m. Burial at 12:30 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Cemetery in Hilo. Survived by husband, Aquilino Corpuz Sr. of Kailua-Kona; son, Leo (Leonila) Ibasco of Hong Kong; stepsons, Aquilino (Rose Marie) Corpuz Jr. of the Philippines and Rolando (Elda) Corpuz of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Maty Ann Ibasco of Canada; stepdaughters Fellie (Danny) Albano of Keaau, Elsa (Rey) Oriarte of the Philippines and Evelyn (Jose) Remelb of Keaau; brothers, Apolinario Medrano of Waianae, Arnolfo (Anselma) Medrano of the Phillipines and Ricardo Medrano of Waianae; 22 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
